Description
Warm, creamy baked brie topped with tangy cranberry sauce, baked until soft and melty for an easy yet elegant appetizer that is perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8-ounce) wheel brie cheese
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (optional)
- 1 large egg, beaten (optional, for pastry)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Stir the cranberry sauce until smooth and set aside.
- Place the brie wheel in a small baking dish. If using puff pastry, wrap the pastry around the brie and brush with beaten egg.
- Spoon the cranberry sauce evenly over the top of the brie or pastry-wrapped brie.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, until the brie is soft inside and the pastry, if used, is lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Let the brie rest briefly before slicing so it holds its shape.
- Serve immediately for the best creamy texture.
- You can skip the puff pastry for a simpler version.
