Description
A warm and comforting street style Aloo Bun Kabab made with crispy potato patties, soft toasted buns, and vibrant chutneys for a delicious and nostalgic bite.
Ingredients

- 3 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 4 burger buns
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 2 to 3 tablespoons mint chutney
- 2 tablespoons tamarind chutney
Instructions
- Boil and mash the potatoes until smooth, then add chilies, coriander, spices, salt, and breadcrumbs.
- Mix everything until well combined and shape into patties.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Shallow fry the patties on both sides until golden and crisp.
- Toast the burger buns lightly in the same pan.
- Spread mint chutney and tamarind chutney on the buns.
- Add the potato patty, then top with onions and tomato slices.
- Close the bun, press gently, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use day old potatoes for firmer patties that hold shape.
- Sprinkle extra chaat masala on top for added flavor.
- Adjust chilies depending on your spice preference.
