Description

Crispy Air-Fryer Mozzarella Balls with golden breadcrumb coating and gooey melted cheese inside, easy and perfect for snacking.


Ingredients

  • 16 ounces mozzarella balls, drained
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian style breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Light cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and mix breadcrumbs with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a third bowl.
  3. Roll mozzarella in flour, dip in egg, coat in breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for double layer.
  4. Freeze coated mozzarella balls for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Arrange in air fryer basket in single layer and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes until golden and crisp.
  7. Cool briefly and serve warm.

Notes

  • Freeze before cooking to prevent cheese leaking.
  • Do not overcrowd basket.
  • Double coat for best crunch.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
