Ingredients
- Cooked white rice – 3 cups
- Whole milk – 1 1/2 cups
- Mozzarella cheese, grated – 1 cup
- Cheddar cheese, grated – 1 cup
- Parmesan cheese, grated – 1/2 cup
- Cream cheese, softened – 4 oz
- Butter, melted – 2 tablespoons
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and lightly grease an oven safe baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, whole milk, melted butter, softened cream cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
- Spread half of the rice mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheeses over the rice layer.
- Add the remaining rice mixture on top and finish with the remaining cheeses.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For best melting, grate cheese fresh instead of using pre shredded cheese.
- Letting the dish rest helps it set and makes serving easier.
- Add a splash of milk when reheating leftovers to keep it creamy.
